Building - Police Station Lockup

Historical information

One-room cell-lockup, possibly transferred from Rosedale to Maffra in 1869, moved to Old Gippstown in 1973.

Significance

High local significance on account of age.

Physical description

A small square shaped timber building with a gabled corrugated iron roof. Built in 1869. The door is not original and has been roughly made of pallet boards.

This cell has many different things written on the inside walls.
