About

Old Gippstown is an historical village with 30 relocated heritage buildings and 18 others being built to complete the town. Each building houses a collection of furniture and artefacts dating from its era. Its collections span the period from the early Gippsland pioneering and gold mining days to the model, mining town of Yallourn. Old Gippstown's aim is to present the history of Gippsland, for the benefit of present and future generations, by preserving, researching, recording and presenting the unique collections in its care.
