Mallet Shipwrights caulking mallet. The slots were cut in to give the malleta certain amount of spring to prevent jarring of the users wrist. It also gave the mallet a characteristic ring when striking the caulking iron Handle separates from head. 365mmL x 70mmW head. 475mmL handle.
