This cheque was made out to the proprietor of a local store in Emerald in 1941. It was situated in Monbulk road on the site where the Woolworths store is now, in 2013
Significance
The cheque was made out to G. Ellwood by a W.T?.Butterfield for Eleven Pounds 17 shillings. It was discovered down between the walls of the store at the corner Monbulk, Gembrook rds. late 1970's during renovations.
