Historical information

This cape comes from the estate of James Cameron who was one of the first Snowy River councillors for the Tambo Shire. He selected land at Lochiel in 1892. From 1902-1920 he was the Assembly member for East Gippsland.

Physical description

A black shoulder cape made of crepe silk. It has scalloped edges and is probably hand-made. It fastens with press studs and the hems have been machined.
