These small collection tins were distributed to homes to encourage the 'banking' of small coins which would then be donated to assist the work of the Spastic Society of Victoria. Founded in 1948, and now known as "Scope" this is a not-for-profit organisation providing disability services throughout Victoria to thousands of children and adults with physical and multiple disabilities

Significance

An example of mid 20th century fund raising.

Cardboard cylinder with metal ends. Top has slot for coins. Cream coloured outer with red writing.
