Medal, Stokes and Sons, Honor to the AIF, Anzac Day 1918

Historical information

This medal is an example of the type issued by the Victorian Education Department and sold on behalf of the Australian branch of the British Red Cross Society. It was made by Stokes and Sons, Melbourne, in a variety of metals including bronze, silvered bronze (as with this one), sliver, and gold. The mintage quantity is not known. and the initials HH refer to Harry Harvey, an art assistant at the EVD who designed the bust.
