This is a relatively rare award for Australian soldiers with only 213 Australians awarded this medal during WW1
Awarded between 1915 and 1919 and is thought to have been awarded to a Koroit district soldier.
A cast bronze medal comprising a cross pattee interspersed with crossed swords. The medal is held by a green ribbon which has 7 thin red vertical stripes. Across the ribbon is a bronze palm which is a symbol of victory
