Historical information

This album contains a number of photographs of British royal family, ministers of religion persons of renown such as Florence Nightingale and family members. Most are named.

Significance

This album contains a typical collection of photographs which people of the later part of the 19th century put together of people of importance, especially the royal family and leaders of state. Religion also played a major part in the lives of people at that time hence the inclusion of the ministers.

Physical description

Small green leather bound cover with geometric pattern. Two metal clasps. Edges of pages edged in gold. First page is photograph of page from the Book of Proverbs snd last photo is of prince Alfred with ships in the background.
