Historical information
Letters and research material regarding ‘Alnwick’, 11-11A Railway Parade, Murrumbeena.
First two letters were sent by Fay Johnson to Dr. C. Kellaway at the ministry for planning and environment on 16/06/1988 and 10/08/1988. The latter includes research material regarding the ‘ALNWICK’ house including a brief description of the history of Sir James Patterson, photos of the house and a newspaper extract regarding its sale.
The other letters were sent to the secretary of Caulfield Historical Society from the Historic Buildings Council inviting them to attend a hearing about ‘Alnwick’s’ classification. Almost identical letters, they were sent on 30/09/1988 and 07/02/1989.
