Portrait of Johann Gottlieb Adler, farmer, c1880. Adler came from Silesia in Germany to Port Phillip in 1848. His story is recorded in the Uebergang family history (The Uebergang Families in Australia 1848-1985, pp.43-48) which includes a list of descendants.
