Portrait of Johanne Christiane Adler, nee Uebergang, c1880. Christiane's story is recorded in the Uebergang family history (The Uebergang Families in Australia 1848-1985, pp.43-48) and includes a list of descendants. A companion portrait of her husband Johann Gottlieb Adler is also in the collection.

Black & white portrait of woman wearing a dark top with pale jabot and a close-fitting bonnet tied in a bow under the left ear. The photograph is mounted in an oval mat in a brown wooden frame with plaster decorations.
