As it happened, the Port Melbourne Band was recruited into the Regiment.

A deputation to the 4th/19th PWLH as called for by the then Commanding Officer, Lt Col B G Hosken, with a view to seek the reaction of the Port Melbourne Municipal Band committee on the suggestion that the band enlist in the Army as a complete unit. Contained in a yellow folder.
