Physical description

A J. S. Jeffreys tennis racquet with concave composite throat, an octagonal handle with both fine and medium grooves. String whipping in three places around each shoulder. Has a leather end wrap and butt cloth. Manufacturer/retailer name printed across throat on obverse. On butt cloth are printed care instructions (not completely decipherable). Materials: Wood, Lacquer, Metal, Glue, Gut, Leather, String, Cloth, Ink
