Physical description

A stemless wooden racquet, featuring an open, three-pronged throat connecting the head directly to the handle. The underside of the head, continuing around and down the inside of the outside prongs, is reinforced by fibreglass strips. Inscription across the base of the head, on obverse: BLUE. Manufacturer's trademark decal features at central prong on obverse. Decal inscription on outside of right prong lists all the worldwide patents for the racquet design. Decal inscription on outside of left prong: HAZELL'S STREAMLINE/REGD. & PATENTED/MADE IN ENGLAND. Company monogram on butt cover.
