A wooden, transitional flat-top racquet with a laminated, convex throat, and a finely grooved, bulbous handle grip. Across the throat on the obverse is a decal of the model 'AS[HBY]' above the Bliss company trademark of a 'B' linked to an anchor, within a shield device. Around the crown on the obverse is the barely legible decal inscription, in blue: EXPERT. On right side of handle is stamped the barely legible inscription: ORIENTAL GUT.
