Presented to the school by Mr Adam Scott. An Adam Scott, son of Adam Scott of Bridge Street, entered the school 1896. The books may have been donated by the son or the father. Adam Scott of 19 Bridge St is also listed as parent of Eliza Scott, Dux of Ballarat College Girls School 1884.
Significance
Example of ongoing commmunity support of the school. The Weatherly Library was opened in 1936 and its collection significantly established by donation or bequest of old collegians and members of the college community and associates.
