Significance
These first aid guides produced by the St John Ambulance, the largest teacher of first aid in Australia, were an important addition to the home library and used regularly.

Two small books on first aid. Both books are published by St John Ambulance Association.
1829.1 is First Aid to the Injured - a small book with a black cover. It is the 37th edition. 227pp. It was written by Colonel Sir James Cantlie.
1829.2 is Home Nursing - a small book with a brown cover. 272pp. It was written by Mildred Heather-Bigg.
The title and spine printing is white on both books.
