Photograph of the railway crossing in Grimshaw Street Greensborough, another local amenity operated by the Iredale family. In 1858, James Iredale owned the General Store in Main Street Greensborough, later the Post Office. George Iredale owned the Farmer's Arms Hotel in Main Street. Most people in 2017 only remember the crossing at Grimshaw and Old Greensborough Road as having boom gates, so these swing gates are thought to date to the year 1930 and before... that is, if this photo is actually a photo of that location... which some doubt.
