Historical information

A. J. Perkins was an agricultural scientist and viticulturist and his teaching of European viticultural methods was his first major contribution to Australian agriculture. He was appointed Principal of Roseworthy College in 1904. He also did research into stock, cereal growing manure use and wheat varieties.

Comprehensive notes on agriculture which were well used as a reference point for farmers and is well linked to the district through George Rolfe and his family
