Charles "Tug" Wilson was born 20th December 1894 in Stonehouse, Devon. He served in the Royal Navy from 1914 to 1919 on the HMS Vivid, HMS Europa, HMAS Platypus, HMS Apollo and HMAS Powerful. He continued to serve in the navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant commander before his retirement sometime after the Second World War.
