About

Overlooking Corio Bay, the Geelong Naval and Maritime Museum is located in the stables of Osborne House, which was built in 1857. The museum has displays on the colourful history of Osborne House as the site of the first Royal Australian Naval College (1913-14) and the base for Australia's submarine fleet. The museum also focuses on the history of Corio Bay as a port and includes artefacts and literature from the broader Victorian and Australian naval and merchant marine history.
