Significance

Early settler families in Moorabbin Shire were self sufficient making their own tools , kitchen equipment, and clothing while they established market gardens, dairy farms , poultry farms, orchards and flower nurseries. Each family had a 'house cow ' to provide dairy products of milk, cheese, cream and butter.
