This is a tape of broadcast material from the procession of the Warrnambool Florado Festival in 1960. The Florado Festival was a week of festivities held in Warrnambool in the second week of March with the aim of advancing local art, culture, education and recreational activities. The Festivals were held in the 1950s and 60s.

Significance

This tape is of some importance to researchers and others interested in the 1950s and 60s Florado festivals. They were a good example of the popularity in Australia of these types of festivals during those decades.
