This Meat safe was made by Duncan Mcgregor who entered it in the Warracknabeal Show for which he won first prize in the section for the best item made from a kerosene tin.in (circa)1918.Mr McGregor was always inventive and used to working with metals
Significance
This shows the ingenious use of recycled goods.
Physical description
This meat safe is square with a four sided pointed top and hanging ring. The sides have mesh inserts and there is one shelf.it has been painted cream.
