Glass bottles were refillable until the 1960s, creating a demand for their collection and onsale back to beverage manufacturers via ‘bottle merchants’.

Physical description

A clear glass bottle with fluted patterns around the shoulder and base. It has a blue/green tinge. The top seems to be made for a cork stopper.
