This book was published in 1988 by the Shire of Ballarat,and printed by the local firm of Waller and Chester.Local Historian Lloyd Jenkins researched and did the text and design for it. It was launched to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Shire,which was the first Shire in Victoria.
