This medical / hospital dropper was used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was built in the 1950's specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.

Significance

Shows the development of hospital equipment. Provenance: Used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was remote and therefore required good equipment. Good condition and good interpretation capacity.

Physical description

Cardboard green and white box with white writing on all faces except where it has been opened. Inside: Clear glass dropper with a green rubber end.

Box: 2 opposite faces have: 'The Ansell Hygienic / Dropper.' One face: 'Guaranteed by the Makers / The Ansell Rubber Co. Pty / Ltd / Richmond, Victoria.' Opposite face; Boxed for Hygienic Reasons / Guaranteed made from pure rubber'
