Drop Bottom Clay Trucks - 800mm gauge

Historical information

These trucks are over 100 years old and are constructed to a similar design to the coke wagons used in the English Midlands region during the 1800's. The trucks were used for the cartage of clay from the quarry to the clay bins, prior to crushing and molding into bricks.
These came from Fritsch, Holzer & Company, Brickworks, Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia
