This book relates the story of women in Australian history from 1788 to 1914. It draws on information from a collection of original documents collected from journals, newspapers, government documents and private accounts. It includes a number of black and white illustrations from various sources including the Bulletin. It covers topics such as convict women, women at home in the Victorian age, Women and their Families and Women outside the home.
