Summary

My Mask is Norman Lindsay's autobiography, an account written by Lindsay of himself, running to 245 pages with numerous photographic illustrations, published in boards with a dust jacket by Angus & Robertson in Sydney in 1970. Notably, it was actually written in 1957 but wasn't published until after Lindsay's death, and one source specifies it was released by his widow the year after he died. It covers ten pages of front matter plus 205 pages of text and 28 pages of illustrations, bound in blue cloth. It was the last of three autobiographical works Lindsay produced, and his final book overall. The work capped a 56-year writing career that began with his first novel in 1913. As a genre piece, it's a memoir/reflection on his own life and creative persona; the title itself, My Mask, signals that it's presented as a curated self-portrait rather than a full confessional.
