Summary

This volume is a reduced-size photographic facsimile of an earlier facsimile the one made by Howard Staunton in 1866 with its text shrunk to an extremely small size. It contains all 36 plays of the First Folio: the comedies, histories, and tragedies, including All's Well That Ends Well. This reduced facsimile was published by Chatto and Windus in 1876; unlike the first edition of Shakespeare's works from 1623, this 1876 book is itself a later reprint edition. The work also carries a scholarly introduction by J.O. Halliwell-Phillipps.
