Summary
This work is a single-volume collection of Milton’s poetry with introductions by David Masson. Its centrepiece is Paradise Lost, which chronicles Satan’s temptation of Adam and Eve and their expulsion from Eden. The Globe Edition also carries his other major works, including Paradise Regained, Samson Agonistes, Comus, Lycidas and the sonnets, as well as his shorter poems. Masson’s introductions place each work in its historical and biographical setting.
