Historical information
This mug is one of a number of items which were made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the settlement of Warrnambool. It was made by Ian Sadler at the Potter’s Wheel which operated from 74 Liebig Street Warrnambool from around the 1970’s to around 2010.
Significance
This item is significant in that it is an item which marks the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the settlement of Warrnambool. It also is a locally made item by The potter’s wheel which was one of few artisan businesses which operated successfully in the latter part of the 20th century.
