- Stand-up Rove Fresh from his third Gold Logie win, Rove McManus will hit the road with his first live stand-up comedy shows in five years. The tour will start at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre on June 22 before the entertainer performs dates in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane. "It is great to be getting back on the road and touring," Rove, who hosts Rove Live on the Ten Network, said today. "Stand-up was a huge part of my life for a long time and over the last few months I have really missed it. "I am looking forward to the adrenaline rush of being alone on a stage with a microphone, an hour to kill and a room full of people expecting to laugh. "It also means I can have a bit of a swear without having to read about it for a week." Rove performed his last live stand-up shows at the Melbourne Comedy and the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2000. Since then, he has established himself as one of the most popular young entertainers in the country. He has also won a total of 10 Logie awards and set up his own production company Roving Enterprises.
