The Churchill Island collection includes objects from the late 1800s. The collection is presented in sets and series, of which this saucer represents the Amess era.

Significance

Margaret Amess was the youngest child of Samuel and Jane Amess, who first purchased Churchill Island in 1872, and was renowned for her china painting.
