John Charles Crombie was the son of James Andrew Crombie and Martha Houston and was born at Hardies Hill 1862. John Charles Crombie married in Victoria in Martha Crosier 1893. They were living at Durham Lead, Victoria for the birth of their children in the 1890s. John Charles Crombie died in 1937 at Oakleigh aged 74.

Four handwritten foolscap pages. The wall was to be built on the Eastern side of the ground facing Albert Street. The stonewall to be 73 feet long and eight feet six inches high. A curved tunnel formed to be about 50 feet long. The work was undertaken by Johnson brothers for one hundred and fifteen pounds five shilllings.

Alison Watson was the daughter of Peg and Harry Watson of Cromie Street Murtoa and would have been seven years old when this certificate was granted at the Murtoa Swimming Baths. The Baths were adjacent to Lake Marma and filled with water from the lake. There was a wooden pontoon in the centre of the pool which was removed for swimming competitions. Alison's father was the swimming coach at the time - 1956.
