Historical information

Aerogrammes were used to write letters to be sent overseas. They were a standard size and light and therefore suitable for aeroplanes. Both sides of the paper were written on and then the paper was folded to form a letter with the name of the sender and addressee.

Physical description

Blue paper with orange "Aerogramme" and "Australia 12c" stamp printed on it. Other print is green and includes "By Air Mail . Par Avion" and Instructions. This aerogramme has not been used.
