Historical information

Clunes Horticultural Society was established in Clunes during the 1980's to encourage interest and involvement in growing all types of vegetation. Dudley Irwin was the local Liberal Party Politician in the 1950's

Significance

This Trophy was named after Dudley Erwin, a long term resident of Clunes who inaugurated the CHS.
This Trophy was awarded annually by the CHS executive group to the member who was deemed to have contributed most to advancing Horticulture in the Clunes District

Physical description

Inverted Silver EPNS inverted hollow cone or cup with two opposed side handles, mounted on black bakelite base.
