The Parks Division of the Board was responsible for the preparation of a Master Plan for the management of the Plenty Gorge Metropolitan Park, comprising privately owned land and land owned by the Board and councils.
Significance
The creation of the park by the Victorian government, to be managed by the Board of Works, guaranteed public access to a large area of land adjacent to the Plenty River Gorge.
