Monitor defribulator, Lifepak 4, Physio-Control Corporation, Circa 1975

Historical information

Used in Mobile Intensive Care Ambulances (MICA) 1, 2 and 3 during the 1970s and 1980s. These units were effective and reliable. Paramedics were happy, however, when they were replaced by the Lifepak 5 as the new unit was much lighter and smaller. Source Ian Donaldson AHSV assistant curator.
