Significance

Jodi Wiley is a local artist who works in acrylic to create detailed images of trees found in urban and suburban environments.

“Trees are ordinary features of our everyday landscape. And yet when the light hits them at certain times of the day, the colours and textures that are illuminated can make us gasp in awe if we are truly paying attention".

'Afternoon Light' was highly commended in the 2015 Nillumbik Prize, judged by Melinda Martin, Director of Linden New Art, Melbourne.
