- Legal Comedy Debate 2014 Everyone knows that lawyers love to argue … err … debate. It can be any subject, anytime, anywhere, but throw in a large audience and it really is game on! Join the Law Institute of Victoria as they pit lawyer against lawyer, obstinate opinion against obstinate opinion, in a war of wit and words that always results in hilarity and the potential danger of legal action. In 2014 we’ll wage the ultimate battle in “Gender Wars: The best lawyers come from Venus”. One planet’s inhabitants are complex, sensitive and nurturing. The other: rational, ruthless and can lift heavy things. But, barring furniture removal, which gender can better serve their clients? This year we’ve added a twist… Arguing for the affirmative (women are better) will be a crack team of hot blooded, macho male lawyers. While the negative (women are not better) will be elegantly handled by their female counterparts. It’s a battle as old as time itself and a debate that could rage for an eternity, or at least a franticly paced 60 minutes. Want to see our teams in action before the debate? We have prepared a Mini- Teaser Video for your viewing pleasure. Who's side will you be on? Debaters & Moderator announced!
