Historical information

A fictional account of the New Australia Movement, founded by William Lane in 1892. The group sought a socialist utopia and their chosen site was Paraguay. The pathway for the new community was not smooth, but the colony is still in existence. Some people formed colonies elsewhere and others returned to either Britain or Australia.

Relevant to the history and development of left-wing politics and socialism in Australia.
