The photograph held by the Historical Society is a copy of the original. A former pupil of Olinda State School contacted the Society with the following information: The photograph was taken in 1951. The teacher is Keith Curley who was Head Teacher from 1951 - 59. The depth of the snow that year was 9 inches out in the open and the photo was taken either by The Age or the Sun.
