Airborne radar was developed as WWII progressed; it only started to become really useful nearing the war's end.
Radar Antenna (Dish), forms part of the S.C.R. 717c search radar fitted to RAAF Liberators.
It is an early microwave airborne pulse radar.
The antenna designation is RC266
