Copy of original Gallipoli diary of B N EDWARDS No 909. Original diary held in Canberra.
Benjamin Noel EDWARDS enlisted on 18.8.1914 in C Coy 7th Bn AIF age 20 years 5 months. Promoted L/Cpl 13.9.1914, Cpl 29.9.1914. Embarked for Egypt 19.10.1914. Records show that he was to be Sgt on 30.4.1915 but was actually promoted 2nd Lieut from 29.4.15 on account of Lieut A.D Henderson DOW’s. KIA 8/9th August 1915. Buried at Browns Dip.
