Historical information

The Ritz was situated near the corner of Lava and Liebig St. The site was originally a hotel which traded under various names, including The Prince of Wales Dining Room, The Stork The Red Lion and later the Princess Royal after a fire in 1880 and it was delicensed in 1900. it later became the Mia mia cafe before a change to the Ritz.
