Mt Beauty is an all year tourist destination.
Mt Beauty Chalet no longer exists as it was burnt down. It was a landmark in the town especially during the State Electricity Commission of Victoria construction days.
Significance
Mt Beauty is a construction town built in the 1940's and 1950's by the State Electricity Commission of Victoria during the construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme.
