A personal recollection of the Avro Anson crash at Woorak by Mr Roy Schneider who was with his father on their farm near the crash site. Roy was a student of the near by Woorak State School.
Roy was at the site immediate after the crash and wrote this recollection a short while before his passing in 2011

These torches were used for night time refueling aircraft. Aircraft have been refueled at Nhill since the first landing field was established in 1921.
Owned by Bullen Bros , of Nhill, who for a number of years had the refueling contract for the aerodrome.

This item is of great significance being here at the air school during it's operation. Some of the photos in Kevin O'Reilly's book In Just Five Years were taken with this camera.
